Meet Cactus & Ivy
Cactus & Ivy creates unique products from reclaimed, salvaged and acquired wood. What can Cactus & Ivy do for you? In short, if wood is involved, we can create it. Creatively turning something old into something new again is rewarding work. Tinted resin is added to many of our products. That extra pop of color really makes the wood stand out.
Salvaged barn wood makes beautiful trays, tables and shelves. Reclaimed logs are lathe turned into bowls, platters, and knobs for wine stoppers.
Live edge slabs are repurposed into tables, shelves, charcuterie boards, trays and countertops. Pour painting of backsplash tiles and vessel sinks offer a unique, one of a kind touch to any bathroom or kitchen.
Old furniture that no longer serves it’s purpose can be transformed. For example, turn that old headboard/footboard into a bench or the basis for a porch swing bed.

I’m Lisa M. Rodgers, and I formed Cactus & Ivy in 2000, as a personal care company, manufacturing bath & body products.
After a hand injury, I stopped manufacturing in 2011. I‘ve often wondered what would become of the company I started so many years ago.
Refurbishing, renewing, and reusing old wood, various parts, and furniture, have been something I’ve wanted to do for several years. I’ve finally moved forward.
I don’t know if turning a company from a specific product line, to the polar opposite, is frowned upon. I worked hard to create Cactus & Ivy, and I couldn’t imagine shelving it for good. So, as I give old wood new life, I am doing the same with Cactus & Ivy. I am keeping the name, because, well, I love it. It’s a huge part of me, and I refuse to let it be a memory.
August of 2017, I began changing Cactus & Ivy. Acquiring wood and equipment, while designing products, and things were on track for the website to go live. And then my mom became ill. I did what I needed to do to care for her, while letting my enthusiasm for Cactus & Ivy take a back seat. I regret nothing. There was nothing more important than caring for my mom, my biggest fan. Sadly, my mom passed away July, 2019.
I’m an entrepreneur at heart and I’m adjusting my sails. Products and designs are inspired by my life, travels, and the elements of earth! My husband is the creative designer behind the wood turned products we offer. As a retired military man, his attention to detail is impeccable. I’m thrilled we are growing Cactus & Ivy together.
Stay tuned as the site continues to evolve, and we work hard to create products to fill the pages, and hopefully, some hearts.
